Animal signs to encourage interaction
Based in Surry, Godstone Farm is the perfect outing for people living across Sussex and Kent.
We have teamed up with the fantastic team at your local Sing and Sign group to help your children learn the animal signs and encourage interaction from a very young age.
We support the idea of active learning through wholesome fun.
Encourage your baby through learning
Babies use all kinds of signs and gestures as a natural part of their learning process. Encouraging your bay with extra signs will help your baby communicate. Sing and Sign is an easy way to learn as well as being a fun activity. Babies will start to recognise important words sooner and can use the signs to ‘talk’ to you before speech. Developed with the help of speech and language professionals and recommended by experts, Sing and Sign is Britain’s longest running baby signing programme.
Communicate with the animals
You can work your way around Godstone Farm and encourage your children to learn by copying the signs and movements. Signs are located next to some of the animals so you can see the animal for real and encourage your children to communicate with you what each animal is. The farm environment is also the perfect opportunity to listen to the sounds they make and imitate them with your children, take in the different smells and see where the animals live and what they eat.
